Lay Your Hat Was Founded by Drew & Caroline in 2009.
Having successfully run a 4 star Bed and Breakfast in Windsor for 18 years both realised there was a need for certain customers to have their own independence whilst away from home. Fully furnished, serviced apartments were the obvious solution for both executives and discerning families alike.
In 2005 executive apartments were acquired to fulfil these needs. This need being for guests to be able to relax, feel at home and comfortable in their environment without any of the restrictions of staying in a hotel. This provided they can face the busy days ahead of them, be it for work or pleasure. And so, “Lay Your Hat” was born.

We are a small family run business and we own the properties we let. To this end we offer an exceptionally personal service, meeting you to check you in and helping you with questions and queries about the area and local facilities…from recommending estate agents and schools to baby sitters!
We also recognise that travel and work schedules don’t always go to plan and so will always work with you to the best of our ability to ensure your requirements are met.
If you have any special requests.. a surprise bunch of flowers in the apartment or bottle of bubbly in fridge, just ask and we will always do what we can.
We know our properties inside out and are on hand should you need us… if you are struggling to work the washer dryer or tuning the SKY TV box, simply call or email, we will pop round to help.
Our aim is to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
How We Operate
At Lay Your Hat Serviced Apartments we offer a personal service. Once you have booked and the deposit is paid your booking is confirmed. If you have any questions or queries relating to your stay or simply need advice regarding your stay please call us.
Check In & Check Out, Handing Over Keys
We will arrange with you prior to your arrival to meet you at the apartment. An approximate time is normally agreed and then we ask you to call us circa 20 minutes before hand so we can be there waiting for you.
We personally will show you around the property and answer any queries you may have and hand over the keys.
On your departure day we ask that the property is vacated by 10am unless otherwise agreed. Please note we kindly ask that the apartment be left in a similar condition to how it was found. We reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning if necessary. We will personally arrange with you the return of the keys.
Please let us know if you have any special items you require in the apartment. We are happy to have these ready for you when checking in and provide receipts for charging. We kindly ask for 48 hours notice for this service.

The UK emergency number is 999 for Fire, Police or Ambulance service. Please do not call 999 unless it is an absolute emergency.
Cancellation Policy & Refunds
We require a minimum of 4 weeks notice for any cancellation to your booking. Refunds cannot be given for cancellations less than this notice period unless we are able to re-let the property. The £200 deposit paid to secure the booking is non refundable. Part refunds may be given for longer term paid bookings at the discretion of Lay Your Hat.
By sending us your booking form you are agreeing to pay for any damages or cleaning at the property that is required at the end of your stay in order for us to make the property suitable for re-letting. We kindly ask that you leave properties in a similar condition to how you found them when you moved in and that any damages or breakages or maintenance issues are reported to us as soon as you are aware of them.
